GEWI’s Danny Woolard to Speak in Traveller Information Session at ITS World Congress

Today’s drivers have more sophisticated navigation options available than ever before and as a result their expectation of information quality is also increasing.  This issue will be addressed at ITS World Congress in the topic area of Smart Cities and New Urban Mobility in a session entitled “Traveller Information – Meeting Increasing Customer Expectations.

GEWI’s Danny Woolard will join representatives from Transport from New South Wales, the New Zealand Transport Agency, Queensland Department of Transport and Waze in the discussion to be held Friday 14 October at 8:30am.

The session will explore some of the customer research that has been undertaken and how these agencies are meeting expectations.  The session will also explore how traffic and travel information services are using emerging technologies to harmonize multiple data sets from a wide range of sources to meet customer expectations.

In addition to lending GEWI’s over 24 years of traffic and traveler information experience to this session, the latest TIC Software will be on display at the GEWI stand #2913 in the exhibit hall.

GEWI representatives from Germany, North America and the UK will be on hand to demonstrate the latest TIC Software solutions including TIC for Work Zones, TIC for Road Incident Management, TIC for ITS Asset Management and more.
