TISA Members gather in Brussels & online for the first time in 2022

The latest TISA Committee Meetings took place on 15 March 2022 as hybrid event. The meetings kicked off with the TISA Content & Service Provision Committee to review the open Use Case Proposals (UCPs). One new UCP was presented, suggesting to launch a Task Force to support deployment activities of TPEG2 Emergency Alerts and Warnings (EAW) services with best-practices and by facilitating liaisons with other organisations that provide other types of services based on the CAP protocol.

The Content & Service Committee was followed by the reporting of the Technical & Standardisation Committee’s, which included an update from the TMC Location Table Release Team and a report from the ISO Liaison Officer on TC204 activities relevant to TISA.

TISA members could then listen to a presentations of MappIs CTO Ankeet Bhat. MappIs is the leading geo-spatial data and technology company in India, providing services in over 200 countries. Next, TISA members were addressed by the new ERTICO-ITS Europe CEO Joost Vantomme, presenting an outlook of important activities under the ITS-Europe umbrella, pointing out areas of future collaboration between ERTICO and TISA.

The following Product Committee elected a new chair: Luka Krevs, who has been CTO of Realis for 5 years and has 20+ years of experience in IT with a strong expertise in ITS and C-ITS projects. The TISA Steering Board also welcomed Luka as part of the board.

The Committee meetings ended with a keynote presentation by Mike Tzamaloukas, General Manager Automotive at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Mike presented the IoT AWS Fleetwise product. Following Mikes presentation, TISA members raised interesting questions and discussed opportunities for a future collaboration between TISA and AWS IoT.
