TISA’s week at the ITS World Congress in Tokyo

TISA got back from a very fruitful week in Japan, on the occasion ofhaving been present at the ITS world Congress (14-18 October). TISA had a space on theEuropean Pavilion, with where Thomas Kusche (TISA President), Matthias Unbehaun (TISA Executive Director) and Stephanie Chaufton (TISA Coordinator) having had the chance to meet with many members of TISA from the Asia-Pacific regions and as well as companies interested in TISA’s work.

TISA Membership is expanding in Asia

TISA is very pleased to welcome the association’s first India’s member MapmyIndia. Leader in premium quality digital map and data, GPS, location-based services (LBS), GIS and location-based business intelligence solutions, The New Delhi based company pioneered digital mapping in India, and since 1995, has built its proprietary MapmyIndia Maps, the most comprehensive, accurate, robust, reliable, full-featured and continuously updated navigable map dataset for all India.

TISA’s calendar of activities at the ITS World Congress in Tokyo

This year, TISA will be present at the ITS World Congress that takes place in Tokyo from 14 to 18 October. TISA will host a special session (SIS24) titled “TPEG^TM services on a global scale” on 16 October. The session will introduce TPEG^TM services that are currently operated worldwide, as well as ongoing development work. This session will provide an excellent overview of TPEG^TMapplications already standardised as well as detailed information of how to engage in work currently under development within TISA.
