TISA Committee meetings- reporting for business

As well as the overall reporting from the TISA Task Forces and Working Groups, Ronald Jorna of Mobycon provoked discussion and cooperation opportunities as an invited speaker presenting the BITS project – Bicycle and ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems).

This project led by the Province of Overijssel and in collaboration with other provinces and cities from Belgium, Germany, Denmark, and the UK is co-funded by the EU and runs until December 2022. The project aims to use ITS to provide improved information for and from cyclists such as priority for couriers, safe bike crossings, travel times and in turn encourage greater take-up of cycling and improved infrastructure. Mr Jorna pin-pointed several areas of collaboration between BITS and TISA and also via the NAPCORE project.
