2025 - A Year to Remember and Joyful Festive Season Ahead!

Dear TISA Members, Collaboration Partners, Friends and Followers,

It is with a great sense of satisfaction, joy and fond memories that the TISA Secretariat will remember an eventful 2025!

Some of the Highlights

The launch of our RTTI 5-Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating Specification, following three years of extensive work and collaboration between TISA members and external collaboration partners, was the highlight of the year.

The specification supports road operators and ITS service providers to foster trust, transparent cooperation and innovation. To find out more, watch our webinar: https://lnkd.in/dCAC4mzn

In April we were thrilled to announce that TISA, in collaboration with NAPCORE, DATEX II, Car 2 Car Communication Consortium, C-Roads and DFRS updated the 'Terms and Definitions' document describing harmonised road safety related message sets for DATEX II, TPEG2, TMC and DENM - addressing the EC Delegated Regulation No 886/2013.

Cooperation

We continued our close cooperation with NAPCORE by taking part in their workshop in Athens, and the RTTI 5-Star Rating was featured in NAPCORE's Quality Repository.

ITS Seville 2025 Congress, with 3000+ attendees was a great occasion to engage a wider transport community with our work through two sessions organised by TISA and two additional sessions with our participation.

We further strengthened our cooperation with partners in the EU and globally by joining:

  • EUSPA where Stephanie Leonard spoke in a session on Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM).
  • The POLIS25 event in Utrecht where Stephanie Chaufton engaged in dialogues with cities and regions, when it comes to trusted data sharing with road operators and ITS providers.
  • The EENA112 Conference in Helsinki, where Stéphanie Chaufton spoke in the panel “Expanding Public Warning: New Channels for Reaching Citizens”, highlighting the importance of alerting travellers with TPEG2-EAW Emergency Alerts and Warnings.
  • ISO in California with Andras Czepinsky. Thanks to the Category A liaison with ISO, we have over 20 TISA Technical Specifications that are now ISO International Standards!
  • The Open Auto Drive Forum (OADF) in Brussels with Matthias Unbehaun progressed the dialogue on increasing safety, comfort, and sustainability in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving with OADF Standards.
  • A MeteoAlarm workshop hosted by the MetOffice in May in Exeter, where Teun Hendriks spoke on the theme "Staying Safe on the Road: Essential Elements for Warning Travellers About Severe Weather".
  • If that was not enough, we also launched a TISA University Partnership Programme!

Our online community is growing, reaching 500 followers in early 2025 and 600 a few weeks ago.

Reflecting over the achievements, partnerships and memories, we would like to wish you all a joyful, festive season ahead!
