4th Revision of the Message Sets for Safety Related Traffic Information (SRTI)
Update of the harmonised Road Safety Related Message sets for DATEX II, TPEG2, TMC and DENM rel. 2 addressing EC high level categories for Safety Related Traffic Information SRTI has now been published.
We are thrilled to announce that TISA, in collaboration with NAPCORE, DATEX II, Car2Car Communication Consortium, C-Roads and Data for Road Safety has updated the 'Terms and Definitions' document describing harmonised road safety related message sets for DATEX II, TPEG2, TMC and DENM - addressing the EC Delegated Regulation No 886/2013. The new revision 4 is publicly available as of today.

In the updated Directive 2023/2661/EU - amending the previous 2010/40/EU (ITS Directive) - the European Commission developed for Priority Action C an EU Regulation named "Data and procedures for the provision, where possible, of road safety related minimum universal traffic information free of charge to users" (EC Delegated Regulation No 886/2013). It defines a single list of categories of safety related traffic information to be provided at no extra cost for the end user at the point of use.
This Terms and Definitions document describes harmonised Road Safety Related Message sets addressing the EC Delegated Regulation No 886/2013 for a number of widely used ITS standards: DATEX II, TMC, TPEG2 and DENM. It was co-created and is maintained by the corresponding Standardisation Organisations or Platforms.
