Day 1 - Final TISA Committee Meetings in 2025!
As we get closer to the end of this eventful year, there is still much to be wrapped up at the same time as we conclude preparations for 2026!
The first day of the TISA Committee meetings brought together our members where we reviewed achievements from 2025, discussed the current state of work along with exciting events to participate in 2026.
The meeting kicked off with a keynote presentation from Jochen Gerardi from TomTom who highlighted the work towards building the Orbis Transport Network with a focus on linear referencing using GERS IDs - Global Entity Reference System.
Maria Alonso-Raposo from ERTICO gave an introduction to the EvoRoads, a European Commission project. EvoRoads defines Safety Assessment criteria and Quantification Methodologies covering the entire spectrum of a “Safe System” approach. It develops a digitalised platform to enable dynamic monitoring of the infrastructure condition and road safety.
TISA President Stephanie Leonard closed the day thanking all members and the TISA Secretariat for their hard work and excellent cooperation during the year. The RTTI 5-Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating is a key accomplishment, but we also have to highlight all the other great work done on, for example, location referencing and road functional classifications.
We continue with another half-day of Committee meetings on Wednesday 10 December, full of energy and highly interesting topics!
