Congratulations to Danny Woolard, the latest recipient of the TISA Fellowship Award!
During the recent TISA General Assembly in Ghent, Belgium - the TISA Steering Board unanimously awarded Danny Woolard the prestigious TISA Fellowship.
The TISA Fellowship recognises individuals with extensive experience in the Traveller and Traffic Information (TTI) domain who have achieved the highest levels of professional excellence over many years. TISA Fellows are widely recognised for their significant contributions to the performance, development, deployment, and advancement of services, products, and technologies across the industry.
Upon receiving the award, Danny said:
“I am very humbled and grateful to receive the TISA Fellowship award. Having been involved in TISA’s formation in 2007 from the joint developments being undertaken by the TMC and TPEG Forums, it’s really appreciated to receive the Fellowship. From the development of the UK Department of Transport demonstration TMC service, and being a signatory to the original Memorandum of Understanding of all parties who created the TMC Forum at the end of the 90’s, it amazing to think back at what a success and our willingness to cooperate across all the players in the delivery of real-time traffic data into vehicles. I am looking forward to both following and contributing to the activities of TISA in the future."
TISA Executive Director Matthias Unbehaun commented:
"It is with great pleasure that the TISA Steering Board has awarded the TISA Fellowship to Danny. He has been a true pioneer within TTI and a highly valued contributor to TISA services and products."
Danny's dedication, expertise, and long-standing commitment have helped shape the evolution of TTI services and technologies, benefiting the wider industry and TISA community alike.
We are delighted to welcome Danny to the distinguished group of TISA Fellows and look forward to the continued knowledge, insight, and leadership he will bring to the domain and future TISA activities.
