Why consider an RTTI 5★ rating?
The RTTI 5★ framework gives Road Authorities, Road Operators and data owners a common way to understand and communicate the quality of data supplied for real-time traffic-information services.
Prioritise improvements
Identify the gaps that most affect operational usability and create a realistic improvement roadmap rather than investing without a clear target.
Support data uptake
Present data quality in a form that can be understood by ITS Service Providers, helping them assess whether and how the feed can be used in their services.
Service-provider commitment: within the framework, data reaching the relevant quality threshold, particularly 3★ or higher, is intended to create a clearer basis for uptake by participating ITS Service Providers. A star rating is not, however, an unconditional guarantee that every provider will use every feed.
