TISA Committee Meetings - Day 1 Recap
Hosted by our valued member Asfinag, TISA members gathered in beautiful Vienna for two days of insightful, energising and rewarding dialogues and cooperation.
The day opened with welcome words from Bernd Datler, Managing Director of ASFINAG. The main theme during the first day was the 5-Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating Specification, with a rich agenda including keynote presentations:
- RTTI in Astria - Austria’s Realtime Traffic Information Data: Obligation, Provision and Assessment, kindly presented by Tobias Schleser of ASFINAG
- ASFINAG’s Realtime Data System: Sources, Aggregation, Traffic Management by Tom Mariacher, ASFINAG
In addition to the keynotes, a panel discussion was held with representatives from Service Providers, Data Providers and Road Authorities on the topic of Road Data and Steering of Traffic. Many thanks to Martin Müllner of ASFINAG, Helge Molin from BMIMI and RTTI Member States Task Force.
One of the benefits of holding a meeting at a member premises is the possibility to look into the daily operations first hand. The on-site presentation of IMIS (Intelligent Trailler) and C-ITS motorcycles from ASFINAG was a fantastic experience. Many thanks to Alexander Hausmann, Nicole Hampel and A. Paier for their time and efforts!
This was followed by a presentation from Matthias Defée from GEWI AG who shared insights into Extending Roadworks Planning with Real-World Data Capture.
Finishing the day on a high, participants had the privilege to hear from Kerry Buckley, Vice President, Center for Integrated Transportation (CIT) at Mitre, on Connecting Corridors through Federates Data.
While the first day was wrapped up with an enjoyable social activity, the entire TISA membership is looking forward to the second day.
