TISA is seeking member feedback on a new TPEG2 implementation
TISA is kindly asking for feedback from its’ members on the Czech TPEG2 pilot service: https://tpeg.dopravniinfo.cz/subscribe/
The pilot is feature‑complete, and we would appreciate feedback on the overall concept and implementation approach. We would also like to collect your inputs on how the pilot aligns with the TISA community expectations on a modern TPEG2 deployment.
What is available:
- A full end‑to‑end national TPEG2 service for Czechia, commissioned by ŘSD/NDIC and operated by CEDA Maps with TamTam Research as technical partner.
- Two published application formats
- Delivery over HTTPS using TPEG2 XML, including message lifecycles
- Coverage matches the national road network: motorways, arterial roads, regional roads, and urban/local roads.
Pilot status
- Best‑effort availability, no SLA
- Guaranteed operation until June 2027
- Free of charge
- Continuation after 2027 depends on evaluation and real demand
What feedback we’re looking for At this stage, the most valuable input is whether:
- the conceptual approach matches expectations for a TPEG2 service,
- the chosen formats (TEC + TFP) and delivery model make sense for real consumers,
- the structure, modelling, and referencing follow best practice,
- there are gaps or extensions that would make the service more useful.
Any additional suggestions that help evaluate the pilot and decide whether to move into full operational mode are very welcome. Real consumer interest will be a key factor in the go/no‑go decision.
