MeteoAlarm Meetings and Interactive Workshop
We are very pleased to announce that TISA has been invited to join the MeteoAlarm meetings and interactive workshop hosted by the Met Office on 21-23 May in Exeter, UK.
Our Technical Expert Teun Hendriks will be speaking on the theme "Staying Safe on the Road: Essential Elements for Warning Travellers About Severe Weather" ⛈️
The three days of meetings will focus on Early Warning Systems (EWS) and how these can be made more effective, through standardisation and harmonisation. Participants will address various points, including structuring of warning messages to enhance readability and accessibility. Best practices which can be applied to make warnings more actionable but also potential inconsistencies in the messaging will be shared.
Topics such as data governance, cybersecurity, participation management and service level agreements (SLA) will be key in the discussions.
TPEG2-Emergency Alert Warning (EAW) from TISA acts as the perfect solution for alerting travellers and drivers of imminent or upcoming dangers caused by severe weather, and further emergency situations, facilitating also dynamic re-routing of navigation devices around affected areas.
