RTTI 5-Star Rating Webinar - 29 October 2025 (9am & 4pm CET)
What a day!
Full house at two webinars on TISA's newly released RTTI 5-Star Specification! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The webinars covered the specification and explained how the quality framework can foster trust, transparent cooperation, and innovation between road operators and ITS service providers. By using the specification, different stakeholders can ensure data quality improvements directly benefiting all road users. Putting the specification into perspective, the speakers reflected on the work done up to now and presented an outlook for future activities.
Stephanie Chaufton acted as a fantastic moderator. Stephanie Leonard, TISA President and Matthias Unbehaun, TISA Executive Director welcomed participants and provided an insight into the background of specification. Megan Bruwer (9am CET webinar) and Claudia Visagie (4pm CET webinar) from the University of Stellenbosch, explained their contribution to the validation and verification of the specification. Finally, Antoine van der Laan presented an overview of the different parts of the specification.
The webinars provided ample opportunities for the audience to pose questions during the Q&A. Some of the highly relevant questions were:
- How can information be traced to its origin and improved, if the initial data quality is not great?
- How have Third Party service providers, such as TomTom, HERE and Google been involved in the work?
- How could national access points incorporate the 5-Star quality specification?
