We are thrilled to engage with the wider transport community at the upcoming ITS World Congress in Dubai.
We will be giving updates on our work at several sessions and look forward to welcoming you at our stand H7-B12-A, which we are co-hosting with our colleagues from @GEWI. In addition, we are pleased to have @EuroNCAP as a co-exhibitor at the stand.
On Monday 16/9 (9:00 - 10:30 am) in room Abu Dhabi A, we are launching our presence at the Congress with a TISA organised session SIS 7 Alerting travellers in emergency warnings situations.
Large-scale emergencies, like flooding, bush fires, or toxic clouds from industrial accidents, often have substantial impact on road traffic, not only in densely populated areas. Road operators and navigation service providers often have no other choice than to completely close affected roads. However, that may leave drivers confused about the ‘what is going on’ and ‘what to do to get away’ – set aside foreign drivers with lack of knowledge of the local environment or specific language used in such situations. If you are a public authority, road operator or any other stakeholder interested in the topic, join the session to learn about our solution. We will even hint at how such solution can support autonomous vehicles.
Session will be moderated by @Matthias Unbehaun who will host a panel of excellent speakers: @Danny Woolard from @GEWI, @Stephanie Leonard from @TomTom, @Stéphanie Chaufton from @TISA, @Eliot Christian from @Alert-Hub.org, and @Takehiko Barada from @ITS Japan
Continuing the busy day, @Stephanie Chaufton will represent TISA at the SIS 16 ecall, eCall for road safety and Vision Zero (13:30 - 15:00) in Room Sheikh Maktoum Hall A.
Thirst for TISA knowledge has granted us another opportunity to speak, this time in session SIS 12 - The practical application of artificial intelligence to emergency management (15:15 - 14:45) in room Al - Ain J.
