SIS50 - Building a Resilient RTTI Ecosystem: A 5-Star Approach to Quality Assessment
💫 Thrilled to announce the special interest session 'Building a resilient RTTI Ecosystem: A 5-Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Approach to Quality Assessment' taking place during the upcoming ITS Seville 2025 European Congress. 💫
Sharing data across the RTTI value chain increases coverage and quality of the resulting end-use services, benefiting road users and reducing incidents on roads. Road users trust the information provided, if they think it is accurate and timely. To sustain quality, long-term public-private relations between stakeholders are needed. This requires well-defined #interfaces for the #data #exchange as well as broadly accepted #quality #metrics for measuring the benefit of the shared data to the end-user.
This is particularly important if public and private investments need to be justified for creating interfaces or improving data quality. In Europe, National Access Points (NAPs) already provide the technical backbone for data sharing. Regarding concepts to measure and improve data quality, new standards are currently being developed, involving all relevant stakeholders.
This session will provide a status update of this 5-Star Quality Rating scheme together with an outlook on possible evaluation methods. Different stakeholders will share their views on the benefits and discuss challenges related to this 5-Star Rating scheme.
The session moderated by Matthias Unbehaun, Executive Director of TISA, will also feature the following speakers:
- Thomas Mark de Laine - Vejdirektoratet
- Damaris Anna Gruber - NAPCORE
- Annet van Veenendaal - RTTI Member States Task Force
- Antoine van der Laan - TISA
- Stephanie Leonard - TomTom
- Christian Kleine - HERE Technologies
- Rebeca Joaquin - Google Maps
