Successful participation for TISA at the ITS European Congress 2013

Also this year TISA was present with several activities at the ITS Congress in Europe. The TISA special session “New traffic and traveller information services – state of development and standardisation” was well received with more than 60 participants. Attendees listened to very interesting presentations from BeMobile, Bayerische Medientechnik GmbH (BMT), Institute für Rundfunktechnik (IRT), and Trinity College Dublin.

Further, TISA Executive Director Matthias Unbehaun gave a presentation on Certification at an ERTICO chaired special session. Mr Unbehaun highlighted the TISA perspective on Compliance Assessment for Traveller and Traffic Information (TTI) services and devices. Other panellists included a representative from the European Commission as well as from ETSI, Dekra, Cetecom, Idiada and Rhode & Schwarz.

Furthermore TISA participated in a workshop on ITS standardisation organised by Andras Cepinski, Project Manager at ERTICO, where Teun Hendriks, chair of the Technical and Standards Committee of TISA, shared the TISA views on the topic.
