TISA Member Be-Mobile presents Precise Location Referencing

Be-Mobile, TISA Member and international company expert in traffic information and technology, announced the use of Precise Location Referencing.

With operations in Europe, the Middle East and Latin America, Be-Mobile is constantly looking to improve users’ navigation experience by setting a new standard for accuracy in the market of RDS-TMC.  Currently Be-Mobile provides its partners in nine countries with Precise Location Referencing.

According to the TISA specifications regarding Precise Location Referencing (TISA reference: SP11004_TMC_14819_3_20110330 / TMC Forum Reference: TMCFS_2003_02 ) the accuracy of events can be highly improved. The length of the incident combined with the hazardous distance gives an exact location of the event. The standard use of secondary and primary location might be very inaccurate for bigger TMC-sections. The implementation of Precise Location Referencing uses the optional message content label 12 of the RDS-TMC standard.
