TISA welcomes the Hungarian Public Roads Non-profit Pte Ltd Co. as a new Member

The Hungarian Public Roads Pte Ltd is a non-profit, Private Limited Company, owned by the Hungarian Development Bank, and is responsible for managing the Hungarian national road network with the exception of the  motorway network. The company provides safe, economical and secure traffic conditions for road users through the provision of winter services, regular road patrols, surveys and road repairs, bridge surveying and maintenance, the management of traffic engineering devices, and quality assurance.

The Hungarian Public Roads Pte Ltd has been involved in several projects such as Connect and Easyway and has played an important role in the deployment and implementation of ITS for many years.

Based on feasibility studies, different ITS solutions have been deployed on some elements of the Hungarian main road network and at headquarters. These include traffic and weather information systems and a traffic information centre. One of the tasks of this centre is to provide online information to road users and to develop a state owned location table, certified by TISA, which is suitable for TMC and later TPEG^TM services.
