TPEG featured as successful example of Traffic Forecast at the WorldDMB European Automotive Event

TPEG™ was presented as successful example of Traffic Forecast services at the WorldDMB European Automotive Event 2015. Representing TISA Member Mediamobile, Agneta Ronceret gave a presentation on “Hybrid Delivery Services to the car”.

Mrs. Ronceret identified a trend towards hybrid services, using combinations of RDS-TMC, TPEG via cellular broadband and DAB TPEG, which facilitates the optimization of costs, content and performance of sophisticated traffic services. During her speech, she referred to TPEG as the enabler for future traffic and traveller services. The presentation can be downloaded here.

Representing TISA Member Fraunhofer IIS, Olaf Korte gave a presentation on the importance of digital radio for emergency warning and alert services. Due to the ubiquitous availability and omnipresent nature of radio, it is the ideal channel for warnings both selected groups of recipients or the general public.

This year’s WorldDMB European Automotive Event was held on 20 May in Brussels and featured the theme “Radio – the best connection in the car.”
