TISA has published a new version of “TPEGTM what is all about?”, the previous one was realised in May 2012. The booklet is intended as a general, high-level introduction to the TPEGTM (Transport Protocol Experts Group) standards and specifications. It also contains a brief note about the history of TPEGTM.

Mediamobile, the leading provider of broadcast traffic information in Europe, today announced the signing of a deal with Volvo Cars that will see the company’s V-Traffic information service included in Volvo Cars in-car navigation systems. On 9 to 11 December TISA and ERTICO organised a second TPEGTM Testfest in Munich at the IRT – Institut für Rundfunktechnik premises. The Testfest was the opportunity to test major TPEGTMapplications such as SNI,TEC and TFP and it resulted in a very successful event with 17 organisations and 33 participants in total.

TISA is expanding in South America welcoming Poyecto Mapear – Mapas Electronicos Argentinos as a new member. This non-profit Argentina-based organisation has been producing free cartography for the past 7 years and it is currently covering – in addition to Argentina – Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
