TPEG featured as successful example of Traffic Forecast at the WorldDMB European Automotive Event

TPEG™ was presented as successful example of Traffic Forecast services at the WorldDMB European Automotive Event 2015. Representing TISA Member Mediamobile, Agneta Ronceret gave a presentation on “Hybrid Delivery Services to the car”.

Mrs. Ronceret identified a trend towards hybrid services, using combinations of RDS-TMC, TPEG via cellular broadband and DAB TPEG, which facilitates the optimization of costs, content and performance of sophisticated traffic services. During her speech, she referred to TPEG as the enabler for future traffic and traveller services. The presentation can be downloaded here.

Representing TISA Member Fraunhofer IIS, Olaf Korte gave a presentation on the importance of digital radio for emergency warning and alert services. Due to the ubiquitous availability and omnipresent nature of radio, it is the ideal channel for warnings both selected groups of recipients or the general public.

This year’s WorldDMB European Automotive Event was held on 20 May in Brussels and featured the theme “Radio – the best connection in the car.”

The benefits of TISA membership, discussed at the ERTICO ITS Conference

ERTICO’s CEO Hermann Meyer, on behalf of the ERTICO Supervisory Board, invited TISA Members to attend the ERTICO ITS Conference, which was held on 16 June 2015 in Brussels. This underlines the fruitful cooperation between both organisations.

The session aimed at presenting TISA to ERTICO partners, particularly to those who are not TISA members.  Paul Kompfner (ERTICO) and Christian Vogg (EBU), representing the founding organisation of TISA, were among the event participants.

TISA President Thomas Kusche moderated a lively and interactive discussion as he handed the microphone to different TISA members, who talked about the specific benefits that TISA membership provides to their organisations. Ulrich Haspel (Bavarian Road Administration), Vincent Godec (Mediamobile), Alessandro Taddi (Infoblu), Olaf Meng (Garmin) and Olaf Korte (Fraunhofer IIS) were among the speakers.

Andreas Schmid received the TISA Achievement Award

This year, a TISA Achievement Award was handed over by TISA President Thomas Kusche to Andreas Schmid at the TISA General Assembly on 16 June. Andreas works as Product Manager at Swarco, as an expert in Integrated Traffic Management.

TISA members invited to the ERTICO ITS Conference

CEO Hermann Meyer, on behalf of the ERTICO Supervisory Board, has invited TISA Members to attend the ERTICO ITS Conference, which will take place on 16 June 2015 in Brussels, in the same venue where the TISA General Assembly will be held.
